General Policies: We must be notified ahead of your move date if you have any complications with your driveway. Ex: sharp turns, on a hill, low trees, or not enough room for a truck. If you would like carpet shield please order this in advance. We provide furniture blankets and shrink wrap at no additional cost for all moves. Our hourly rate begins once we arrive and it ends upon completion of services that day. Again your signature is required. Disconnecting items All gas appliances must be disconnected prior to our arrival. Ex: Stove, Dryer All water hoses must be disconnected prior to our arrival. Ex: Washing machine, refrigerator All electrical cords for TV’s, Lamp’s, and Stereo’s must be wrapped and secured or disconnected Packing All desks and file cabinets must be completely emptied Armoires must be completely emptied. Dresser with 6 drawers or less do not need to be emptied. Only clothing items can be in the drawers, nothing breakable. A miscellaneous item is not a piece of furniture and it does not fit in a box. Please inventory and group these items in intervals of 5. Ex: lamps, ironing boards, rakes, shovels, waste baskets, gardening tools. All containers, boxes and bins must be closed, sealed, and stackable. We do not move garbage bags. Disassembly/ Reassembly We do not provide disassembly or reassembly of swing sets, playscapes, playforts, and playstructures including trampolines. If you have a canopy, platform, loft bed, or bunk bed there is an additional fee for disassembly and reassembly. Please note these take longer to disassemble than a standard headboard frame and foot board. Please notify our office if you have this type of bed set. Damages/ Repairs Policy This policy is customized according to the insurance option you choose at the beginning of your move.
Procedures: We confirm all appointments the day before your scheduled services. Please make sure to provide us with your best contact information. Ex: home phone, cell phone, or by email Safety 1st: Please have all kids, cars, and pets out of the way of the path to and from the moving trucks and equipment. Please have all walkways and driveways free of debris and snow upon the movers arrival. Please be aware traffic and jobs ahead of you may take longer than expected thus altering the time for arrival. If we are running ahead or behind of schedule we will give you a call ½ an hour prior to arrival. NEW: You can now track the location of your movers on your accounts page. If you do not have this set up please call our office for more information. Please designate one person who is in charge of the services. This person will be in constant communication with the driver regarding the intricate details of the your services including paperwork and items being moved or serviced. The designated person will complete a walk-through of the services needed with the driver at the origin and destination to make sure nothing is left behind or damaged. All payment is due upon completion of your service that day.
